I have one more week of my summer semester and then I have a whole month of freedom and I plan on trying to catch up with my summer TBR. I don’t often make TBRs because I have a hard time sticking to them, but recently I’ve been really excited about planning out what I am going to read. I already have a list of books for October and one for December. For my summer list, I have had a lot of these books in mind to read for months now so I am pretty confident that I’ll be able to stick to it. However, actually reading all of these during summer is another matter.
A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg – I first heard about this book on What Should I Read Next and I’ve been wanting to read it ever since. I recently purchased it on Bookoutlet and knew I wanted to read it soon.
The Paper & Hearts Society by Lucy Prowie – I love watching Lucy’s videos and was so excited for her when she announced she was being published. This book sounds like the kind of book I like, especially with all the literature references.
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson – It is has been many years since I last read a Morgan Matson book and I wasn’t sure I ever really planned on reading this one. One day I suddenly just really wanted to read it, so I ordered it and here we are. I have a hard time finishing YA contemporary books nowadays even though it used to be my favorite genre. I’m hoping I love this one!
When It Happens by Susane Colasanti – I read this books years ago and it was instant love. I really want to re-read this book this year and thought summer would be a great time to do it. It’s not a high priority, but it would be nice to revisit this story from a favorite author.
The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker – This is at the top of my priority list because my hold just came through from the library. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that takes place in Alaska. This book sounds like it will focus a lot on a father/daughter relationship, which is the main reason I want to read it. I love books about family relationships.
Her Best Friend by Anne-Marie Meyer – I just bought this for my kindle last night after searching for clean romances. This sounds like a book I’d really like. It’s actually the second book in a series, but seems like it could be read as a standalone. I’m on the hunt for ‘clean & wholesome’ romances if you have any recommendations.
All the Ugly & Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood – This book has been on my radar for YEARS and a few weeks ago I saw that the e-book was on sale so I bought it. This is a high priority this summer.
The Goal by Elle Kennedy – This is the fourth book in the Off-Campus series. I know I just mentioned I want more ‘clean & wholesome’ romances and this series is far from that, but I do like this series – I just don’t love the sex scenes. This series is fun and hilarious -especially book 3, which had one of the funniest scenes I’ve ever read in a book. I plan on writing a series review once I am finished.
